The first China International Consumer Products Expo is set to take place at Haikou International Convention and Exhibition Center, Hainan from May 7 to 10. Overseas brands will dominate the expo, taking up 80 percent of the total exhibition area.
Jointly held by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, the event will provide a total exhibition area of 70,000 square meters. Over 200 world-renowned brands such as L’Oreal, Remy Cointreau, Shiseido, FANCL, Johnson & Johnson, Dell and Tesla will take part. Many have indicated that they will release their latest products at the event.
Switzerland will serve as the guest of honor at the expo. Swiss enterprises and high-end brands will attend the exposition and attract consumers with their unique products and their reputation for high quality, according to Swiss Ambassador to China Bernardino Regazzoni.
More than 10 countries and regions including Japan, France, South Korea, Canada, Ireland, Thailand, and Azerbaijan will organize delegations to participate at the exhibition.
The Irish National Pavilion will be unveiled at the expo and, to date, 13 brands – in areas including Irish infant milk powder and other dairy products, whiskey, gin and other beverages, maternal and infant products, daily necessities and wool products – have confirmed their participation.
Delegations from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps will also be present to exhibit consumer products and time-honored brands.(Source: ehainan.gov.cn )
